- Best Affordable Home
We are looking for the home that offers best value for money, either for sale or rent. This category is open to developments for sale and/or shared ownership. Judges will particularly be interested in imaginative and creative use of space, any incentives available, the day to day running costs of the property and functionality of the home. Also recognised in this category will be the quality of the home through its design and finish and environmental considerations given by the developer in the build, outside areas and local community.
- Best Property Law Firm
Submissions are sought from law firms across the North West delivering outstanding customer focused residential conveyancing. Judges will be looking at evidence from client testimonials alongside evidence of growth for the last 12 months. Entries should detail key indicators of high levels of performance in this sector and any innovative approaches to exceeding customer expectations and going that extra mile for clients.
- Show Home of the Year
We are looking for the stand out show home that reflects best the property’s target audience in terms of style and budget. Judges will be most interested in how appropriate the design choice is for the potential purchaser and the attention to detail given to finishes, colour, fabrics, furnishings, fixtures and fittings in answering its specific brief.
- Best New Home
This category is open to new home developments of any size across the North West. Judges will be looking for the best in terms of design, specification and craftsmanship. The external and internal design and finish, layout, landscaping, building efficiency’s and quality of architecture will all be considered in the final shortlist selection.
- Regeneration Award
This category is open to any commercial, residential or mixed- use scheme or project which has been completed or a phase completed within the last two years. This award will be given where judges feel it most clearly demonstrates a positive impact, or the likelihood of positive impact, on the physical or environmental quality of a deprived place or the economic or social well-being of its community including benefitting other businesses in the area. Consideration will be given to any plans provided and demonstration of the long term vision of the project as well as how it has involved the local people or community or how it will specifically benefit them.
- Best Commercial Scheme
This category is open to speculative and non-speculative commercial schemes within the retail, office, leisure, hotel, educational or industrial commercial sector. Single or mixed-use schemes can be submitted. Judges will consider each submission based on its overall commercial viability and suitability to its end use. Judges will also be looking at end specification and design; use of space and build materials along with any external and/or communal spaces and landscaping.
- Best Commercial Let
This category is open to developers and/or landlords for a commercial office, retail, leisure, hotel or industrial let during the last 12 months across the North West. Judges will be looking for key data relating to the size of the let and any further financial evidence outlining its commercial strength. Factors also to be considered will be the likely commercial impact or potential impact of the let on the wider commercial community.
- Best Student Landlord
The category is open to all landlords in the student property sector across the North West. Judges will be looking for the landlord delivering outstanding service and accommodation for their student tenants. The category will focus on the property or scheme’s design; internal and external specifications; most imaginative and functional use of space; responsiveness and provision of services; communication; quality of fixtures and fittings; security; external and communal areas/amenities; community links and landlord social responsibility. Testimonials from tenants are invited to support submissions.
- Judges’ Special Award
This special award is looking to recognise and celebrate the scheme, project, organisation, business or individual who has commercially and visibly had the greatest impact on the property industry in the last 12 months.
